About Our Dogs
The majorityof dogs we place with veteran clients originate from shelters and a few from select breeding programs. One of our main goals is to reduce the number of euthanized dogs. Additionally, dogs are trained by inmates in the the federal prison system; providing unforeseen and powerful therapeutic benefits for those who train them. The dogs are trained and certified according to the Wounded Warrior Service Dog Training Program. We take the extra effort to make sure that there is a psychological bond that exists between the dog and his/her potential master before solidifying a match. We believe in the special healing powers dogs can provide to war veterans suffering with PTSD and will work to ensure the success of the bonds we help create.
